Azzecca Unveils New Imprint, Cosimea Sounds, With Latest Single

Azzecca launches into a new orbit with the debut of her Cosimea Sounds label and the release of her whimsical, new single, “AL’s HOT SOUP.”

Chicago’s underground electronic music scene is erupting with fresh talent, and Azzecca is one of the brightest sparks driving its momentum. Dubbed the “cosmic queen,” she delivers high-energy house, techno, and acid sounds that strike a unique balance between darkness and pure euphoria.

Her distinctive style comes to life at Cosimea, the event series she rebranded last year from the celebrated, female-safety-focused Dirty Disco. In just over a year, Cosimea has quickly become a community favorite, uniting party-goers through inclusive spaces and forward-thinking music.

Now, Azzecca is taking that vision even further with the launch of her new imprint, Cosimea Sounds. Through the label, she aims to create more platforms for diverse artists while curating a sonically rich, community-focused environment. Describing the imprint as a home for “an exploration of otherworldly club sounds,” Azzecca invites fans on a journey into the cosmic, transportive music that defines her signature style.

Cosimea began as an event project aimed at building community and recentering the focus on the dancefloor. Building this cosmic ‘world’ and having the freedom to play outside-of-the-box music lead to an obvious shift in my production process and finished projects. I knew I needed to create a platform to release the sounds that I feel really proud of, without the pressure of needing to fit into the current label landscape. I look forward to eventually using the label to platform other artists and sounds that break the formula and move me.

Coinciding with the label launch, Azzecca has released its debut track, “AL’s HOT SOUP,” a playful, community-centered anthem featuring cats and aliens. Inspired by her notorious homemade soups from her popular social media series, titled Hot Soup and Hot Takes, the track kicks off with thick, rolling basslines that churn beneath stabbing synths. Its futuristic vibe is layered with spectral vocal cries and melodic accents, which perfectly capture Azzecca’s extraterrestrial aesthetic.

With her new label, busy tour schedule, and the ever-evolving Cosimea event series, Azzecca is proving she’s not just a rising talent but is ready to take the world by storm. Fans can experience her signature, otherworldly sound firsthand at upcoming Cosimea events, including shows at LA’s Sound Nightclub with artists like Ugo Banchi and Soraya, and at Chicago’s Cermak Hall with Eli Escobar, Ariel Zetina, and Baltra.
