Cool Customer Breaks Release Silence With 'Thank You For Holding'

Cool Customer gives fans five more examples of his unique talents with his latest self-released EP, Thank You For Holding.

Cool Customer‘s ability to blend fresh style with a familiar nostalgic energy brings the old heads and new together, and he’s become a name you add to a bill when you want ticket sales to skyrocket. This year has continued that trend, and it’s one that’s been stacked with an impressive list of accolades. From assisting Tape B as direct support at Red Rocks to earning a spot on the list of exceptional talent that played at GRiZ‘s sold-out Seven Stars Festival, he’s proven time and time again that he belongs on lineups with the heavy hitters.

Fans have been patiently waiting for new music to come from the king of Cool, and today is their lucky day. The wait is over as Cool Customer unveiled the Thank You For Holding EP. Across the five tracks, his true colors shine through glitchy, mind-expanding soundscapes you’ll want to explore time and time again.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared an extended body of work, and creating this five-track EP was an extremely challenging and personal journey. I included some brand-new songs, plus a few tunes from both of my ‘Customer Service’ mixes. This one really means a lot to me.

Cool Customer comes out of the gate hot with “Say What.” This powerhouse of a track is sure to start a frenzy at any event with its hypeman-infused beats. “The M.F.” still packs a punch, with distorted elements and percussion that leave you breathless. “Peppermint” delivers a low-end journey that cools listeners down just like that first refreshing sip after savoring a crisp peppermint.

It’s all “Hunky Dory” from here on, meaning hold onto your hats because this wildly warbled beat takes you for quite the ride. Along with old-school radio commercial-type voice samples, you question what portal you just walked through. “Thank You For Holding” brings us to a close with a more soulful spirit, with breaks and vinyl scratching to add to the melting pot of sounds. From the first track to the last, this collection of songs perfectly lays out just how diverse and creative Cool Customer’s mind truly is.
