Gentlemens Club Drops Bass-Heavy 'Originals EP' On Deadbeats

Gentlemens Club, the UK bass trio with mainstage attitude, has been refining their blend of dubstep, grime, and heavy basslines since breaking onto the scene in 2017. The trio has delivered boundary-defying sound at every opportunity with releases on a number of esteemed imprints, and now they’ve returned to showcase their style on Deadbeats with the Originals EP.

Any given track of Gentlemens Club’s is filled with intricate melody and sound design, and that’s put on full display from the jump on the Originals EP. The lead track, “Only You,” is a bass bomb, with the trio layering its melodic vocals over breaks and the heavy wubs and dubs of the bassline.

From there, the trio takes listeners deeper into the bass realm with “The Sound,” which highlights their unique blend of dubstep, while “Danger” blasts into the stratosphere with its rapid-fire wubs, spacey blips, and vocal sample. The final track, “Champion,” further blends dubstep with reggae vocals for a bass-heavy hitter that caps off the ride in style.
