Rising UK producer Bentley makes his Créche Records debut with a three-track EP titled 6AM.
Ollie Bentley, simply known as Bentley, has merged minimal, deep tech, and hints of acid in his Créche Records debut, a three-track project that feels like the hazy intersection between night’s end and morning’s first light. Out now, 6AM also blends classic Chicago house influences with a distinctly modern, melodic touch, showcasing the artist’s ear and skillset. It’s no surprise his music is gaining support from top names such as Jamie Jones, Gene Farris, Archie Hamilton, Paco Osuna, Mason Collective, and more.
Opening the EP with a title track, the London-based DJ and producer instantly sets the tone with warm chords that bleed into a melodic progression, mirroring the glow one feels after a night spent on the dancefloor. A slight rave edge can also be felt when subtle vocals appear, but Bentley makes sure they don’t overpower the house fundamentals that shine through.
“Desire” follows with a somewhat darker energy, introducing a gritty bassline and infectious rhythm beneath a sultry, moving vocal. It feels like the EP’s sexy moment. Then comes “Void,” which embraces more breakbeats and atmospheric synths, highlighting Bentley’s range without breaking the flow.
For a label debut, the EP sounds extremely confident. It’s the work of a producer who understands not just the mechanics of house music, but its emotional impact, too. With 6AM, Bentley joins Créche Records’ tradition of platforming forward-thinking artists who balance groove with heart. It shows listeners why Bentley is a rising star.
