Sub Focus And Grimes Take Listeners On A Sonic Journey With “Entwined”

**The newest single from Sub Focus’ forthcoming album, CONTACT, sees the two artists create a bewitching track fit for a Halloween release.**

English DJ and producer Sub Focus has teamed up with Canadian electro-pop vocalist Grimes on a new single, “Entwined.” Out now via Casablanca Records, this otherworldly track will appear on Sub Focus’ upcoming concept album, CONTACT, due out November 21.

Grimes’ ethereal vocals complement Sub Focus’s spatial production and complex basslines by tackling sci-fi themes, humanity, and the cosmos. Through mesmerizing lyrics and lush synths, they take the listener on a sonic journey into galaxies unknown. The experimental song is mysterious, intense, and innovative, seeming to bend the space-time continuum. It’s the perfect fusion of Sub Focus and Grimes, making the title “Entwined” even more appropriate.

“I literally could not be more hyped on Sub Focus,” shared Grimes this past summer on social media. “Dance music has felt bizarrely sterile and increasingly so over time. It has been so long since I’ve felt euphoric about dance music.”

Sub Focus’ fourth studio album, CONTACT, will feature 14 banging, vocally driven drum and bass tracks with features from Subsonic, Poppy Baskomb, Connie Constance, Emily Makis, and Inez. It will also include his immensely popular John Summit collaboration “Go Back” featuring Julia Church, which has already amassed 151 million streams globally.

This year has proven to be a highly successful one for Sub Focus. He sold out shows at London’s Alexandra Palace and Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles for his Circular Sound show, where he debuted “Entwined” with Grimes. He went on to perform at Glastonbury Festival, and he became the first DnB act to headline and sell out Red Rocks Amphitheatre as part of the WORSHIP collective this past October. Sub Focus looks to keep that same energy in 2026, as he’s been announced to appear at Coachella along with WORSHIP.
