LYNY’s Debut Album Solidifies Him as a Key Trap Music Tastemaker

LYNY’s 12-track foray into full-length albums, Noise To Dance To, boasts elevated, hybrid soundscapes with his unmistakable signature touch.

From his 2022 breakout track “Noxious” to the festival staple “Light Up” with Eptic, LYNY has been lighting up the dancefloor with his distinctive sound design. Hailing from Chicago, the boisterous bass music artist has been making waves as he continues to dominate, making appearances at Lost Lands, North Coast, and the inaugural Seven Stars. Adding to his coveted repertoire, LYNY has delivered his first full-length album, Noise To Dance To, delivering 13 fresh tracks to the mix.

With a runtime of 35 minutes, LYNY’s debut album showcases his unequivocal sound and wizardry for fusing genres to create full-bodied, original, and robust musical concepts. The album starts with the hit single “Section,” which has become somewhat of an anthem throughout the 2025 festival season. The high-energy set staple uses the catchy one-liner “everybody in my section,” similarly to how “Money” will have fans shouting “all I want is money / give me some.” The latter track dials things up with a second drop leaning toward house stylings, demonstrating LYNY’s versatility.

Throughout the album, LYNY seamlessly blends styles, making his debut full-length a standout for 2025. “Sellout” shines with the punchiness and hi-hats of a drum and bass heater, building to a grimy, trap-driven drop, while “Rude” leans into bass house, flaunting an exuberant, syncopated bassline. By toying with various sounds and combining them for a unique listening experience, LYNY has found a balance between creating music for live sets and casual listening.

While LYNY doesn’t lean too heavily on collaborations throughout this project, the album’s two features are a fantastic addition. “King” featuring Elohim embraces the sultry vocals of the singer, pairing them with a bouncy bassline reminiscent of UKG tracks for a unique trap fusion tune. Later in the album, Cozy Kev lends his talents to “Triumph,” which has all the makings of a dancefloor weapon.

Closing things out with the evocative “Digital Runaway,” LYNY delivers a perfect sendoff to close his latest body of work. While a handful of tracks on Noise To Dance To still feature his signature tag, this feels like the beginning of a new chapter for the producer. LYNY’s newly refined sound builds upon what fans have come to love while adding a layer of depth, making for an unremarkable entrance into album production.
