Jansons’ ‘Dance 2 This’ EP Delivers a “Worthwhile” Debut on Factory 93 Records

Jansons delivers a house-driven EP debut, Dance 2 This, on Factory 93 Records in addition to teasing a future imprint.

With Dance 2 This, his debut on Factory 93 Records, UK producer and DJ Jansons steps into the house music spotlight, offering a two-track EP that sounds familiar yet feels excitingly refreshing. It’s the kind of project you could easily hear echoing through a late-night set at a place like Chicago’s Spybar or London’s very own fabric.

Jansons has shared his talents with well-respected labels such as Circoloco, PIV, and HOME//GRXWN. Now, though, the artist seems ready to drop more than just singles. Along with the new EP, he has also teased a forthcoming imprint set to launch later this year.

Kicking off with a title track that serves crisp hi-hats and locks into a four-on-the-floor beat, the project is unpretentious and built for listeners who are about the groove, not gimmicks. He later inserts a commanding vocal that loops the word “worthwhile,” like a mantra pushing listeners to dance, along with swirling synths that tie it all together.

Flip to “U Do,” and Jansons shifts gears into something deeper. The energy here gets skippier and more rave infused, carried by wavy basslines and echoing vocal cuts that feel like they’re floating just right outside the listeners reach. This is a track that seemingly unfolds piece by piece with each element locking into place like a well-fit puzzle. It feels minimal, yet is full of maximum groove, tapping into the producer’s classic UK club DNA.

In the span of just two tracks, Jansons has provided a celebratory and nostalgic rhythm made to be embraced on the dancefloor. If Dance 2 This is any indication of the artist’s next chapter, it looks to be a promising one. In a scene crowded with noise, evoking that sense within listeners is special.
