Anyma curates tunes from Colyn, Massano, Adriatique, Argy, Son of Son, Cassian, Kevin de Vries, and more on Afterlife’s latest compilation, Quantum Echoes, Pt. 1.

The past decade has seen Afterlife become one of the biggest labels in the electronic music scene, with stunning releases and captivating shows that continue to win fans over. While solo releases on the imprint have turned heads, its compilations have also been at the forefront of bringing a wide offering of dynamic soundscapes front and center. That’s exactly what Anyma‘s done once again with the curation behind the label’s newest release: Quantum Echoes, Pt. 1.

Fresh off his Genesys trilogy, Anyma has set his sights on a new story to tell, and the first taste of what’s been dubbed his Quantum era has arrived with this compilation. Found inside Quantum Echoes, Pt. 1 are 15 fresh tracks, all of which are dripping with inspiration from breakthroughs in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and the intertwined nature of technology and humanity.

As a true compilation, it only features a few tracks from the label boss. The first, “Quantum” with Chris Avantgarde, welcomes listeners to this new world. The second, “Girls MIA,” sees him team up with Adam Sellouk and Carly Gibert for a bumping 132 BPM ride that switches up expectations with its added energy and hypnotic vocals.

Meanwhile, the additional tracks on Quantum Echoes, Pt. 1 arrive from the minds of others such as Colyn, Massano, Adriatique, Argy, Son of Son, Cassian, Kevin de Vries, and more. You’ll find yourself gliding along in melodic style with tracks like Adriatique and Argy’s “RACER,” Colyn’s “Give You My All,” Kevin de Vries and Add-us‘ “Nami,” and Jast’s “Move.” Others, like PACS‘ “No Control,” Baset and Nevve’s “Fuel,” and Joshlane’s “System Overload” dive a bit deeper into the indie dance realm.

The final three tunes deliver a jam-packed end for this journey into the new era. Cassian, Yotto, and Da Hool’s “Love Parade” features plenty of power, while Final Request’s “Over Control” digitizes your mind as you listen. Notre Dame’s “Lost Echoes” rounds out the trip with a sublime soundscape that you’ll find yourself swaying right along to as the final seconds tick away.
