Ray Volpe’s versatility as a producer shines bright in genre-fluid debut album FOREVER, VOLPETRON.

Dubstep DJ and producer Ray Volpe has had an incredible 15 year journey as a musician. Over the past decade and a half, he has mastered highly technical production skills while developing a distinct sound and identity that resonates deeply with fans.

His musical career has led up to the release of his first album, FOREVER, VOLPETRON, which dropped on September 12. The album explores many genres in one cohesive, powerful compilation of tracks showcasing his evolution as an artist.

I hope you’re able to hear 15 years of Ray Volpe in this; I wanted to make a project that epitomizes my journey. From brostep, melodic dubstep and bass, heavy dubstep, bass house to everything in between, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of everything I love and everything I’ve been through.

Ray Volpe

The album is composed of 16 songs showcasing the full range of Ray Volpe’s artistry. The album’s first track, “FOREVER (INTRO MIX),” dives straight into the explosive, heavy-hitting sound Ray Volpe is best known for. His collaborations with Vastive on “GET SMACKED” and Sullivan King with “REWIND” are festival-ready anthems sure to break the necks of even the strongest of headbangers.

In other songs, such as “ANESTHETIC” with Mathue, “AS LONG AS I GOT YOU” with Adventure Club and Dalton Diehl, and “CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR” with Point North, Ray Volpe explores the soaring, emotive soundscapes of melodic dubstep. Meanwhile, he also experiments with the high-octane beats of bass house in “THE SOUND” and the widely played out, fan-favorite “SONG REQUEST.”

With Lost Lands just on the horizon, FOREVER, VOLPETRON comes at the perfect time for attendees needing to fill their playlist for their trip to Dubstep Disneyland. Listen to Ray Volpe’s debut album on Spotify or your preferred streaming platform, and see where he is touring near you to experience tracks from the album in person.

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn’s journey as a raver began in 2022, but her obsession with music dates back to her middle school days as an angsty emo kid. A firm believer in the emo to raver pipeline, she has found a strong sense of community in the rave scene united by a common ethos of PLUR and a shared love for heavy basslines. A longtime writer and now Master’s in Journalism student at Georgetown University, Jaclyn is passionate about using her voice to spotlight the EDM scene. In particular, she enjoys writing about drum and bass, the number 1 favorite genre of hers, although her music taste spans wide so you will catch her byline on many types of stories. Her favorite artists are Andromedik, Sub Focus, Dimension, GRiZ, Oliverse, Illenium, Grabbitz, Zedd, Basstripper, Subsonic, and more.
