Unglued refines his production skills while continuing to deliver drum and bass education to the masses on Timestretch: Present.

Unglued has released the second installment of his Timestretch series on Hospital Records. The series is a three-part DnB history lesson taught by the artist, exploring the evolution of the genre. His previous release, Timestretch: Past, delved into the roots of jungle and DnB, while the forthcoming Timestretch: Future will look to where the genre is headed. The latest to arrive, Timestretch: Present, showcases Unglued’s current sound and production styles.

Out now via Hospital Records, Timestretch: Present offers four tracks that display Unglued’s production prowess and collaborative nature. “This Time Around,” a collaboration with Hugh Hardie, features inspirations of jazz with soulful vocals and proper DnB rollers. It’s the perfect fusion of both artists, as Unglued’s high energy melds well with Hardie’s liquid vibes on this one.

Next up is “RUDEBOI,” which sees Unglued teams up with Deadline to bring some filth front and center. This tune is hard-hitting and grimy, combining nostalgic jump-up with masterful production. Meanwhile, “Summin Like Dis” showcases Unglued’s work with Molecular as the two drop a definite booty-shaker that’s reminiscent of ’90s breaks. With its old-school feel, this tune will have the earth shaking and all the ravers out on the dancefloor.

Finally, Unglued closes the collection by working with Degs to create “Gaming The System.” In the aptly titled track, it feels as if these two are almost gaming the system with their melodic yet bass-laden soundscape. Dynamic and energetic, this track, like all others on this EP, puts the artists’ technical skills and unmatched refinement on display.

If you want some sentimental DnB with a modern take, then Unglued’s Timestretch: Present is for you. Listen to the release on Spotify or your preferred streaming platform, and keep an eye on his socials for the final chapter in the trilogy to drop.
