Sammy Virji and Chris Lake prove they’re a match made in house heaven with the release of their latest collaborative earworm, “925.”
Magic happens when two of the hottest hitmakers in the scene join forces in the studio. For house and UK Garage lovers, that pairing is Sammy Virji and Chris Lake, who have both been on an absolute tear this year. While Chris Lake has continued to drop massive sets as he celebrates the release of his latest album, Chemistry, Sammy Virji has been on a massive rise of his own with festival appearances as he gears up to drop Same Day Cleaning in September.
In 2024, these two beloved artists teamed up to drop an absolute gem, “Summertime Blues,” and now they’ve waved their wand in the studio once again to deliver another fresh single, “925.” This track, which is out now via Astralwerks, is the latest taste of what’s to come on Sammy Virji’s forthcoming album, and it packs a punch with its pure bass house energy that’s perfect to spin at parties throughout the rest of the summer months.
Press play and you’ll immediately find yourself bumping along to the sleek, rolling beat that builds with character as the seconds tick away. The track’s groove isn’t the only aspect of “925” that stands out, as its infectious vocal hook from RoRo makes it feel even more complete.
Sammy Virji notably spun “925” during his sets at Lightning in a Bottle, Bonnaroo, and Tomorrowland prior to its release, while Chris Lake dropped it like a bomb during his shows at Brooklyn Storehouse in July. The two have also been seen hanging out together throughout the season in Lake’s studio during his livestreams.
Listen to “925” on Spotify or your preferred platform, and pre-save Sammy Virji’s Same Day Cleaning ahead of its release on September 19.
