Modapit Makes a Stand with ‘RESIST’ EP

**Modapit’s latest EP, RESIST, navigates a fresh underground sound from the artist through five intense, rhythmic tracks.**

When first breaking onto the scene in 2021 with an official remix of ODESZA’s “It’s Only,” producer Modapit was shrouded in mystery. The anonymous artist donned a mask for all performances as his fanbase expanded, taking the stage at festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Imagine Music Festival. In late 2023, he released a vlog series titled Becoming Modapit and removed the mask, letting the world into his life and creative process. Since then, Modapit has continued to climb ranks within the scene, churning out captivating house and techno releases fused with an industrial pulse.

Charting a unique course after his debut album Devotion, Modapit has just released his latest body of work, the five-track EP, RESIST. A step into new territory but staying true to his roots, RESIST navigates anthems of the underground with a dancefloor-forward sound. Listeners weave through pulsating beats full of edge and grit that aim to hypnotize. The EP is a successful pivot into exploring fresh elements in his music.

“Don’t Be Afraid” invites fans into the underground, mesmerizing with a forceful bassline. Commanding vocals meet us on “The Underground” as the tempo picks up, feeling like we’ve arrived at a warehouse afterparty. “Cold” swings in a different direction as melodic synths and vocals emerge halfway through the release, allowing a chance to take a breath before diving right back in.

Title track “Resist” takes it a notch further through a dark, spellbinding rhythm sprinkled with acid undertones and disembodied voices. If listening in the proper setting, it would be too easy to lose yourself in the music and submit to the sounds of the underground. Coming out of this trance, “The One” greets us, concluding the EP on a more low-key note through soothing vocals and infectious beats that still make us dance.
