To start, congratulations on the launch of Blowout Beats and your new record, “WYD After!” What experiences make right now the perfect time to start releasing dance music?
Thank you. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for “WYD After.” I’ve been laser-focused on touring over the last few years and have been missing out on spending time in the studio. This year, I’ve prioritized finding time to be creative and contributing to what’s going on in dance music.
Of course, you aren’t a stranger to dance music, but “WYD After” is still different from your previous releases. How did the production process differ for this record from when you make rap and hip-hop beats for other artists?
For me, the biggest difference is in the creative process and being thoughtful about how the music will be played live by me and by other DJs supporting the record. For “WYD After,” I wanted it to be a vibe with a melodic house sound.
With this new track you’ve finally shared, can fans expect more of this newfound style in your future releases, or are you going to be exploring different genres in general?
Yes, I’m really into melodic house right now. I love big vocals and a hard beat—stuff that you can listen to and DJs can play anywhere.
The dance music scene is currently benefiting from the maximalist style that fans have been drawn to for quite some time now. Being a true pop culture icon, how do you draw from those experiences to benefit you in today’s era of dance music?
I live in Las Vegas and play close to 40 shows a year there. I get to test these records on some of the world’s greatest sound systems and play them to dance music fans from all over the world who come to Las Vegas throughout the year. That experience gives me a ton of inspiration, which has shaped the sound I have created in these new records.

Getting back to Blowout Beats, you decided to take a chance to create something that’s truly yours instead of seeking a home on other established labels that undoubtedly would’ve taken you in. Why did you decide to go this route instead of seeking help from outside sources for your journey in dance music?
I really believe in the music that we’ll be releasing, and I want ownership of what we’re building with Blowout Beats. Creating my own label allows me to release music and collaborate with artists in a way that feels most authentic to me. I’m excited for the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
Fans got a taste of what Blowout Beats is all about with “WYD After,” but what kind of music can they expect moving forward as the label grows and develops?
Outstanding dance music.
Aside from fans keeping an eye on this new project, many artists will also be looking for a spot on the label. How is Blowout Beats going to scout talent that aligns with your vision for the label?
I am constantly in touch with and sharing music with established and emerging producers. I’ve always enjoyed using my live shows as a platform to give up-and-coming producers visibility. And now with Blowout Beats, I look forward to truly amplifying that support.
To end, is there anything you can share with us about what’s coming soon on Blowout Beats now that the first single is officially out?
I will be releasing more of my originals in 2025, beginning to grow the roster, and signing other talent with an eye on releasing their music in 2026.
