Swedish House Mafia makes their anticipated debut on SUPERHUMAN with the release of their fresh summer single, “Wait So Long.”
It’s been a fairly quiet year for Swedish House Mafia, but that doesn’t mean the trio hasn’t been working behind the scenes. Recent months have seen them launch their new creative hub and label, SUPERHUMAN, which has since become a home for Sebastian Ingrosso’s “Flood,” two tracks of his with Steve Angello, “Skip” and “No Enemies,” and FIA’s “sealight.” Now, it’s time for Swedish House Mafia to finally make their full debut on the imprint with “Wait So Long.”
“Wait So Long” is out across all streaming platforms, but those who attended their exclusive, intimate event in Stockholm earlier this week got the first live listen. The track features an uplifting, groovy beat with prominently placed vocals that add extra depth to the soundscape. If this is a sign of what’s to come with Swedish House Mafia’s “3.0” era, then it’s already off to a great start.
A deeper dive into the production credits puts some star-studded collaborators on display. This includes Fred again.., who previously worked with the trio on their hit track “Turn On The Lights again..” with Future. Additionally, Klahr, Yaro, and Gino Nano, who worked with Anyma in the past, are also listed alongside Ben Drew aka Plan B, who provided the vocal work.
Those planning to catch Swedish House Mafia this summer can do so if they head to two of Europe’s biggest festivals, Tomorrowland and Creamfields. If you live in the US, you’ll be in luck as the trio teased that they have plans for something special in New York City that will be coming soon.
