Loco Dice’s Purple Jam sees him deliver a dose of relentless house grooves that are sure to set fire to dancefloors for some time to come.

Loco Dice is an artist whose legacy speaks for itself. This German DJ and producer got his start in hip-hop before making the jump to electronic music and finding a home in the house and techno side of the scene. He hasn’t looked back since, bringing forth intoxicating releases that marry his dynamic range of influences and performances that keep crowds dancing until the break of dawn. Now, he’s thrust himself back into the forefront with the release of his stunning album Purple Jam.

There are 14 tracks on Loco Dice’s fourth studio album, and all of them see the beloved artist flex his production skills. Found inside aren’t just solo gems either, as this legend teamed up with artists like Skrillex, Fireboy DML, Marco Carola, Guè, The Martinez Brothers, Trinidad James, and Carl Cox, among others, to bring fresh soundscapes to life.

Right after the intro, you’re met with one of the biggest collaborations: Skrillex and Fireboy DML joining Loco Dice for “Heavy Heart.” The oscillating techno undertones are met with chopped vocals on this one before bursts of elements enter the fray. It’s a perfect track for late-night hours on the dancefloor and a palate cleanser for what’s to come.

Flip further into the album, and you’ll find other standout collaborations. This includes “G Class” with Guè, which adds some Latin flair; “High Rolla” with Marco Carola, which puts tribal drums and warped vocals front and center; and the ever-bouncy “Ice Cold Dealer” with Haftbefehl. Additionally, the stripped-back aesthetic, sporadic breaks, and shuffling synths on “Road Runner,” Loco Dice’s track with Carl Cox, takes you straight to an underground rave.

Loco Dice’s solo tunes are just as fabulous. “Purple Kawasaki” brings an eerie ambiance with it as the chugs forward, “One Round Baby” features an infectious groove and vocal sample stabs, and the tribal-yet-alienistic “Azlan” is a tune you can only imagine hearing while dancing at a party on Mars.

Listen to Purple Jam on Spotify or your preferred streaming service, and stay tuned for more from Loco Dice by following his social media channels.
