Anvaya Releases Debut EP on Indo Warehouse

**Anvaya gears up for their first-ever Coachella performance with Indo Warehouse later this month with the release of their Sands Between Us EP.**

Anvaya, the innovative musical partnership between husband and wife duo Sonia and Kaushal Majmudar, is a fast-rising force in the electronic music scene. Formed in 2023, the dynamic duo has already made waves within the label collective Indo Warehouse, performing at major festivals and venues such as The Brooklyn Mirage, Sunburn Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, and SXM Festival. With their first-ever Coachella performance with Indo Warehouse and an upcoming North American tour just around the corner, Anvaya has dropped their highly anticipated debut EP, Sands Between Us, giving fans a taste of the full depth of their authentic South Asian sound.

With their forward-thinking energy, Anvaya has crafted five new cutting-edge tracks that blend classical Indian elements and forward-thinking house music in the new EP. “Every song has its own unique story, born from constant experimentation and collaboration,” Kaushal said. “Our hope is for listeners to immerse themselves fully, discovering new layers with every listen. We envisioned this EP as a sonic journey, offering connection and introspection, whether you’re dancing or reflecting quietly.”

Kicking off with a burst of joy and celebration, “Laal Chunariya” opens with lively shehnai melodies that set the stage for a festive mood. They showcase their versatility in music productions with “Dheere,” which takes a darker twist to pull the listeners into a trance-like state through the rhythmic pulse of mridangam and khol. Then, “Yaadein” returns with a softer melody to offer listeners a moment of reflection. Built on a consistent drum loop, the song lingers long after the last beat and provides a smooth transition to “Ud Janna,” a delicate tune that gracefully weaves in a descending santoor motif to create a beautiful interplay.

To close off, Anvaya teams up with Carnatic violinist Shiva Ramamurthi for “Take My Hand,” a track inspired by the traditional Indian classical concept of Jugalbandi. This song draws deeply from the rich traditions of South Asian music with its intricate rhythms, creating an immersive experience that honors their cultural roots while speaking to a global audience. As Anvaya continues to charge forward in the global music space, their unique sound will connect with listeners through an experience that is both familiar and fresh.
