Amid a steadily progressive five-year climb, Massano will finally deliver his debut studio album to eager fans this spring.
It’s hard to believe that this summer marks the fifth anniversary of Massano’s groundbreaking track, “The Feeling,” released on the prominent melodic techno and house label Running Clouds. The massive anthem cemented his significant influence on the viral, though sometimes polarizing, spread of melodic techno and its characteristic utilization of LFO modulation.
After starting the year on a rocketing trajectory, the Liverpool native announced his debut album, Natural, to a packed London crowd in his signature enigmatic fashion. Among fiery red visuals at HERE in Outernet, blocked text appeared behind Massano with the necessary information: “DEBUT ALBUM – 25.04.2025 – ‘NATURAL.'” The crowd erupted in time with one of his trademark rolling basslines.
Massano is fresh off being one of the youngest acts to perform at the Sphere during Anyma’s historic run of shows and is gearing up for a highly anticipated performance at Ultra Music Festival‘s RESISTANCE Megastructure. He consistently delivers intrinsic, high-quality music which sets him apart in a genre often perceived as formulaic, and this new album will certainly see him flex his production skills.
While melodic techno can sometimes fall into predictable patterns, Massano’s unique, “made-from-scratch” sound design and meticulous attention to tonal balance distinguish him from the rest. The strong performance of singles including “Throwing Stones,” “Angel In The Dark,” “Fama Land,” and “Touch Me” have generated a devoted fanbase expecting an engaging experience.
Natural promises to be a culmination of Massano’s artistic journey. It just might be poised to redefine the landscape of modern melodic house and techno. Massano’s debut album is set for release on April 25 via his imprint, Simulate Recordings. Stay tuned for more details.
