Deep, Dark & Dangerous To Take Over Meow Wolf Denver For Danceportation

Deep, Dark & Dangerous unveil the full lineup for their Meow Wolf Denver takeover on February 22nd.

Denver, prepare to be “danceported” into the realm of dubstep. The latest iteration of interactive playground Meow Wolf Denver’s Danceportation series features the return of dubstep’s epochal Deep, Dark & Dangerous collective.

On Saturday, February 22, iconic DJ and producer duo and label heads Truth will be joined by a slew of artists from the Deep, Dark & Dangerous family. The lineup features some of the label’s most prominent artists, including DDD darling Khiva and the ever-energetic curator-slash-DJ-slash-producer Onhell.

But, as always, Truth seize the opportunity to spotlight the genre’s most exciting up-and-coming talent. Denver is dubbed the “Bass Capital” for good reason, which is illustrated by the bounty of homegrown talent on the lineup: Basura, Morning High, Gallium, Breathworkz, and D:Form all hail from dubstep’s American headquarters.

Just as notable as the lineup is the venue itself. Danceportation events at Meow Wolf feature not only a traditional “main stage,” but also music throughout the museum’s exhibits. The effect is a truly immersive musical experience that one can — and should — quite literally get lost in.

Unique to this event is the addition of visual specialists Nox Lumina, 5ive 9ine, Digital Vagabond, and Actualize. Of course, as with any proper dubstep event, sound system quality is appropriately addressed with Funktion-One sound, courtesy of Lost Horizon Productions.
