Shortly after they release three new editions of their 1974 landmark album, Autobahn, Kraftwerk will play seven newly added shows in the US West Coast.
Krafterk still aren’t done celebrating Autobahn‘s 50th birthday. The highly influential German electronic music band will re-release three new versions of the album in March. Then, in April, they will perform seven shows on top of the 25 already announced as part of their Multimedia Tour 2025.
On February 14, Kraftwerk will release a seven-inch vinyl edit of the title track alone. Shortly thereafter on March 7, the full album will come out in three new formats: a first-of-its-kind 12-inch vinyl picture disc of its 2009 remaster, a Blu-ray edition, and a Dolby Atmos mix for streaming services. The latter is meant to “take the listening experience of this seminal recording further and deeper than ever before,” according to a description.
April will see Kraftwerk touch down on the US West Coast for seven tour dates previously not included in their Multimedia Tour 2025 announcement. On April 4, they will perform at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas before playing at the Moore Theatre in Seattle on April 9. Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno will play host to the quartet on April 11 before they deliver a show at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix on April 14. Kraftwerk will close out their West Coast run of dates at Coachella on April 13 and 20, with a stop in between at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on April 18.
Kraftwerk released Autobahn in November 1974, four years after Ralf Hütter and the late Florian Schneider formed the group. The album is considered their first after they fully transitioned from kosmiche musik to electropop — and while it initially garnered mixed reviews from critics, it turned out to be an international sleeper hit.
