Spearhead Records Celebrates 20 Years with BCee, London Elektricity, & Ruth Royall

London Elektricity and Ruth Royall joined forces with BCee on “Diamonds In The Rain” to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his drum and bass label Spearhead Records.

Drum and bass producer and Spearhead Records founder BCee has become a genre pioneer, much like the artists who first inspired him. To kick off 2025 and celebrate the imprint turning two decades old, he checked off a bucket list goal and collaborated with one of those artists, London Elektricity. The product of their sounds colliding on “Diamonds In The Rain” is just as enchanting as one would expect from two artists who have a knack for blending dreamy liquid beats. This track arrived after BCee released a huge new album full of collaborations, so this one standing alone is special.

The emotion-heavy tune wouldn’t be complete without a perfect set of vocals, and that’s where another legendary artist comes in to provide her lyrical expertise. Ruth Royall, who was thrice voted “Best Vocalist” in the Drum and Bass Awards, completes the legendary trio of musicians that joined forces to make “Diamonds in The Rain.” Her stunning voice and the uplifting, love-driven lyrics bring the track to completion and pull heartstrings with the words “don’t worry about worry about love, it will find you and carry you in.”

This sort of collaboration doesn’t come along too often so when it does it’s worth taking a moment to appreciate. I’ve been a big London Elektricity fan since day one, the younger me would have lost his mind to know we would one day be in the studio together.
