Anyma Releases New Single to Kick Off Sphere Residency

Anyma officially released his collaboration with Massano and Nathan Nicholson, “Angel in the Dark,” to help kick off his residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

While there has been plenty of hype surrounding many artists in the electronic music scene throughout 2024, much of the conversation over the past few weeks has centered on Anyma. The Afterlife co-founder has continued his path of domination this year with stunning shows that have taken place around the world, but it’s his end-of-the-year residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas that’s been the talk of the town.

Anyma’s residency is historic, marking the first time an electronic artist has hosted one at the newly minted venue, and tickets flew off the shelves for its biggest nights, including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Yet those weren’t the only surprises he had in store. He recently announced that he would debut the first-ever robotic cello duet during the residency and also dropped off a new single, “Angel In The Dark.”

“Angel In The Dark” is the latest release from Anyma’s mind, but he didn’t go alone when creating this gorgeous tune. He teamed up with Massano to bring this atmospheric soundscape filled with hypnotic basslines, layered textures, and more to life. Adding to the track’s depth are the vocals from Nathan Nicholson, which add a level of steadiness as the melodic elements swirl in the mind.

The visuals for “Angel In The Dark” were prominently displayed during the first show of Anyma’s residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas last night. Taking the stage after Mike Dean and Dixon, the Afterlife co-founder dominated the venue with a captivating show that left the crowd breathless. Anyma will continue his residency all weekend until New Year’s Day and then pick it back up for two final shows on January 10-11.
