Bask in the Uplifting Sounds of ‘A State of Trance Year Mix 2024’

in New Releases

Armin van Buuren curated tunes from Ferry Corsten, Factor B, Maarten de Jong, Andrew Rayel, Cold Blue, MIYUKI, Aly & Fila, Estiva, and more on A State of Trance Year Mix 2024.

Armin van Buuren and A State of Trance (ASOT) have been on quite the roll with announcements lately. Not only was it revealed that the beloved trance brand might be making its festival debut on US soil in the near future, but that ASOT London would return for another round this summer. ASOT also dropped off an early gift idea for those planning to attend their main festival in Rotterdam next year: a Christmas package perfect for the trance family member in your life. But there’s one big thing that any fan of the brand has been waiting for: this year’s edition of the A State of Trance Year Mix.

That annual compilation has now been revealed, and A State of Trance Year Mix 2024 features a whopping 113 tunes that stood tall in the mind of Armin van Buuren throughout the year. Not only will you find the sounds of uplifting, tech, and deep trance, but also a hearty helping of techno and other styles during its near-two-hour runtime.

“Over the years, I’ve found that the genre tags commonly used to categorize music don’t work for me,” Armin van Buuren shared about this year’s edition. “What matters is the sound and vibe they embody. Their soul, so to say. So I’d advise anyone who loves music to break down those barriers and embrace that different styles can be very complementary to one another. And I hope this A State of Trance year mix shows that!”

Some of the immediate standouts found on A State of Trance Year Mix 2024 include Elysian’s “Now We Are Free,” Above & Beyond’s “Heart Of Stone,” Layton Giordani’s rework of Tiga and Audion’s “Let’s Go Dancing,” and Giuseppe Ottaviani and Lasada’s “Leave You There.” Tracks like Daxson’s “Elysium” will whisk you to a different state of mind, while others like Matt Fax’s “Raven” take you into the darker depths of the rave. Armin’s own tunes, like “Take Off” with ARTBAT, “Part Of Me” with Louis III, and “Pulstar,” only further enhance the experience while listening to this mix.
