Detox Unit and Resonant Language will accompany OPIUO when he delivers an “Echoes of Light” performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver.
If it doesn’t seem all that long ago that OPIUO sold out Red Rocks Amphitheatre with the Opulent Orchestra — well, that makes sense because it was only this May. A year after the fact, the New Zealand-based DJ and producer will return to the iconic Morrison, Colorado venue on May 11, 2025 with a new stage show dubbed “Echoes of Light.”
This time around, he will also be joined by some of bass music’s best and brightest. The name Detox Unit features most prominently on the lineup, and understandably so, as the Denver artist’s glitch-heavy sound perfectly complements that of the headliner. Also appearing on the bill are local mainstays Resonant Language, Duffrey, and motifv.
“Forever searching for the ultimate show experience I am immeasurably proud to once again headline the greatest venue in the world!!” wrote OPIUO (real name Oscar Davey-Wraight) on Instagram. “Never settling for anything less than the level up above, please join me & The Opulent Orchestra as we present the new performance & production experience.”
Davey-Wraight first started DJing at age 14 about 25 years ago, according to a Westword interview. He was born on land on which music festivals are held in the rural New Zealand town of Motueka, although he now lives in Australia. The Opulent Orchestra was not the first time Davey-Wraight has performed with a symphony band at Red Rocks. Five years prior, he performed alongside the Syzygy Orchestra at the hallowed natural amphitheater.
Presale for OPIUO’s “Echoes of Light” show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre opens at 10am MT on December 10, with general on-sale starting at the same time the following day. Register to get notified via Laylo.
