Pendulum has announced that they will take the stage for a headline performance at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England.
A cursory look at Pendulum‘s career shows that they go big with everything they do. That’s especially true of a concert they’ve announced for August 9, 2025. Taking place at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England, the gathering has been declared “OUR BIGGEST EVER LIVE SHOW” by the live electronic music band.
In terms of sheer capacity alone, National Bowl is a fitting venue to host the trio currently comprised of Gareth McGrillen, Rob Swire, and Peredur ap Gwynedd. It comfortably holds 65,000 entrants, which would indeed place the August show high up on the list of most notable gatherings in Pendulum history. The event will consist of multiple stages and a “colossal lineup” yet to be announced.
“After the roaring sold-out success of this summer’s inaugural event with Chase & Status, we’re turning up the volume and stepping into 2025 with a lineup that’s larger than life,” reads a description on the Pendulum website. “More stages, more energy with an unstoppable fusion of live and DJ performances that will set the Bowl ablaze.”
Pendulum formed in Perth, Australia in 2002 by the original lineup of Swire, McGrillen, and Paul “El Hornet” Harding. At different points over the course of its lifetime, Ben Mount and KJ Sawka have also been involved as members. The group went on hiatus from 2012-2016 while Swire and McGrillen focused on their Knife Party electro house project.
Recent years have been good to Pendulum, no doubt thanks to the recent US resurgence of drum and bass among the younger EDM generation. In recent memory, they have dropped a 2023 EP called Anima and embarked upon a North American tour.
Presale opens on Thursday, December 5 at 10am GMT with the general sale starting at the same time the following day. Sign up on the Pendulum website.
