WIRE Festival is set to return to Knockdown Center in May 2025 and will feature underground techno, panel discussions, art installations, and more.
Since its inception in 2022, WIRE Festival has emerged as one of New York City‘s premier techno events. Known for spotlighting the vibrant underground music scene and celebrating the essence of the genre’s evolution, WIRE has always offered a unique experience for anyone who has attended the event. With a firm commitment to community, connection, and a bold musical vision, it showcases a diverse lineup of fresh talents, influential collectives, and techno music pioneers, all carefully curated to create an immersive experience for the attendees.
Now, WIRE Festival is looking ahead to its fourth edition. Set to take place on May 16-18 next year at the Knockdown Center, the three-day experience will feature more than just exceptional music. There will be a series of talks in partnership with Resident Advisor, industry meet-and-greets, and networking space for artists, labels, and industry stakeholders to connect and network.
Past highlights on the WIRE Festival lineup have included iconic performances by Jeff Mills, Surgeon, DJ Stingray 313, and showcases from Mala Junta, Bassiani, Herrensauna, and more. The upcoming edition is sure to continue this trend with plenty of legendary artists and those pushing the genre forward.
Additionally, one of the highlights of WIRE Festival is its impressive art installations, which will once again be part of its 2025 project. Previous year’s collaboration with France’s Collectif Scale has showcased some of the most stunning works supported by NYC’s Inner Light and Studio Gum Gum. Attendees can look forward to enjoying the captivating light displays that perfectly embody the spirit of techno music.
