Kaskade’s wife has officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. She’s asking for joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
Globally renowned DJ and producer Kaskade — real name Ryan Raddon — is getting divorced. According to a recent report by TMZ and Billboard, his wife, Naomi Raddon, filed the paperwork in court on Thursday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
According to the divorce papers, the two separated in June. They were married for nearly 28 years after first meeting in Provo, Utah, in 1995, and they have three children together, including their 14-year-old daughter. Naomi has asked for joint legal and physical custody, and for Kaskade to pay for spousal support and her attorney’s fees.
News of Kaskade’s divorce might come as a surprise to his followers, as he is often perceived as one of the more family-friendly artists in the dance music scene. He notably does not drink or do drugs and can often be seen spending time with his wife and kids, whether by bringing them along to his events or posting them on social media.
Kaskade emerged as one of the biggest artists in the electronic music scene over the past three decades and has consistently been among the highest-paid DJs in the world since the start of the EDM boom. Kaskade also helped shape nightlife in Las Vegas with his “Kaskade Sundays” residency at Encore Beach Club in 2010, has frequently played major festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Coachella, and has been the official DJ for the X Games and at Super Bowl LVIII.
Additionally, Kaskade’s releases have garnered praise from fans and tastemakers alike, earning him multiple Grammy and Juno award nominations throughout his career. The most recent of them was for the album he delivered alongside deadmau5 for their collaborative Kx5 project.
EDM Identity has reached out to Kaskade’s team for a comment but has not received a response as of publishing.
