Rising DJ and producer Aky is looking forward to the fall months and has dropped off a mix that’s sure to get you grooving during the afters this season.
From his years spent in Europe to those on American soil, Aky has continually evolved his sound while flexing his forward-thinking approach to production. During this time, he’s focused on bolstering his label and event brand, ANGVIS, which hasn’t just featured some incredible, dancefloor-ready tunes but has hosted standout shows in cities like Los Angeles.
While some of Aky’s tunes have leaned heavily into the realm of bass music, recent years have seen him dive back into the house side of the spectrum. “Starbass” and “Love Infusion” with Yuki Broux in 2023 helped mark this shift, and the Los Angeles-based artist roared into 2024 with the release of “No Sleep” with Abo and the ampiano-infused “Chillz” with Kastro SZN. Aky’s most recent tune, “Papi,” has continued that trend as he packed a punch with Latin vocals and a bumping beat that clearly was made with peak hours at a nightclub in mind.
To get everyone hyped for the fall season ahead, Aky dropped off a mix inspired by his “the present is already past, the future is now” mentality dripping with late-night dancefloor vibes. “This mix is something I made for you to get a taste of how my after hours feel like,” Aky said when asked about his offering to the Fall Frequencies series.
