Solarstone, Airscape, York, ZOYA, Super8 & Tab, and Markus Schulz take the reins and deliver dynamic mixes for the monumental In Search Of Sunrise 20.

Turn back the clock 25 years, and you’ll find In Search Of Sunrise in its formative years. Initially helmed by Tiësto for the first seven volumes, it went on hiatus before Richard Durand breathed life back into the series in 2010. Five years later, Durand departed, and the series went on hiatus once again, but Markus Schulz would become its new standard bearer in 2018. Since then, the compilation series on Black Hole Recordings has reached even greater heights with refreshing mixes from top-tier trance artists, and now it’s reached its milestone 20th volume.

While recent editions of In Search Of Sunrise have featured two artists who join with Markus Schulz for a trifecta of mixes, a double dose was brewed for In Search Of Sunrise 20. Six renowned DJs have joined in on the celebration, starting with Solarstone before offering soundscapes curated by Johan Gielen’s Airscape, Super8 & Tab, York, ZOYA, and finally, Markus Schulz.

In Search Of Sunrise 20 features nearly 100 tracks across its six mixes, spanning everything from trance to progressive house and more. Each artist was allowed to offer a handful of their tunes within their mix but channeled the spirit of the series throughout the rest of the tunes they curated to create a gorgeous vibe.

Solarstone dropped standout tunes from artists like Foxhill, Orkidea, Luigi Di Mare, Pablo Gargano, and Effen. Johan Gielen looked to Airwave, Mark van Rijswijk, Tim Besamusca, Northern Project & Abbey8k, Daniel Wanrooy, Kyau & Albert x John Grand, and more for the Airscape mix. Super8 & Tab selected tracks from SØNIN & JS, Scorz & Sirolf, Sean Tyas, ilan Bluestone, Tim Clark, and Tim Clark, among others, for their mix.

The final three mixes are teeming with just as many standout tunes. York set for stun by layering in Gabriel & Dresden’s “Kinetic Cinema,” Elysian’s “Now We Are Free,” and Kyau & Albert’s “Photographs.” ZOYA packed a melodic punch with Nils Hoffmann & Kasbo’s “Running In A Dream,” Lumïsade’s “Orange Theory,” Volaris’ “Tygar,” and Paradoks’ “Flourish.” And Markus Schulz delivered the finishing blow by dropping his remix of Late Night Alumni’s “Empty Streets,” along with Eelke Kleijn’s “Lately,” BLR’s “My Precious,” and other sensational tunes.

Give the six In Search Of Sunrise 20 mixes a listen on Spotify or head to their official landing page for each specific mix and your option to pre-order the box set and vinyl.
