Assemble your feral friends and get prepared for an incredible edition of Portola Festival with all the essential info you’ll need ahead of the weekend!
Making its highly anticipated return to the Bay Area for year three, Portola Festival has been stirring up some chaotic energy over the past year. First announcing an ungodly lineup in May, Goldenvoice has since pulled out all the stops with everything from a new concept known as the Raccoon Social to a stacked Portola week of shows leading up to the festival itself.
This year’s edition brings a range of electronic and live music artists to choose from, ranging from Rufus Du Sol, Gesaffelstein, and Justice to Nia Archives, Rebecca Black, and HorsegiirL. To add the cherry on top, this year’s lineup is made up of almost 50% women and femme-identifying performers. We also can’t forget about the endless savory local food vendors or the secret speakeasy.
With such unforgettable Portola experiences over the last two years, we’re sure this year’s experience will be even better. Download the Portola app to plan your set times and meals, or take our preferred approach and follow the music. Be sure to check out our five femme acts to catch this weekend, and we’ll see you on the dancefloor!

Reminder to Mind Your Belongings:
Unfortunately, during recent festival seasons, many have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers. It’s essential to mind your valuables while at Portola Festival.
