Louis The Child announces their new album, The Sun Comes Up, and drops fresh single “Make You Mine” with Whethan and Hayley May.
Louis The Child announced that their awaited sophomore album, The Sun Comes Up, is coming out September 20 on Interscope Records. With a focus on upbeat and whimsical sounds, the duo is taking it back to their early inspirations while teaming up with artists such as Madeon, Łaszewo, pluko, MEMBA, and more. Their latest single, “Make You Mine,” puts that on display as they worked with long-time friends Whethan and Hayley May.
“Make You Mine” has those uniquely Louis The Child synths and Whethan basslines. The collab shows the two artists’ evolution as friends and artists from their early days, making tracks in high school to global stars. It’s a bouncy house track that transports us to a poolside party. Hayley May’s soulful vocals take center stage. “Hayley’s voice was like magic,” said Louis The Child. “It was our first time working with her and she just has this crazy range and soul to her voice. If she didn’t, we would have surely made a very different song that day.”
Want to hear this and other tracks off the album live? Join Louis The Child for A Day In the Sun, five outdoor daytime shows that kick off September 7 in Seattle and go into November. Special guests will be joining them at each show, including Whethan in San Diego on October 5.
