Canadian duo No Thanks channeled the Dirty Dutch era for their latest single, “Got Stuff,” and swung by to spin a nostalgia-fueled summer mix.
While Canada has birthed many notable artists in the realms of bass and progressive house over the years, plenty of talent across various genres are making waves with their tunes. No Thanks is one of those duos breaking the norm by producing everything from tech house and bass house to pop, and now… Dirty Dutch.
The genre that infected stages and captivated millions worldwide during the early days of the EDM boom was also influential to the guys behind No Thanks, Giuliano Rascan and Dejan Zoric, during their formative years in the scene. They’ve channeled that era with their newest single that’s landed on Thrive Music, “Got Stuff,” a perfect example of how modern artists can breathe life into styles that have fallen by the wayside.
“Many of these songs are 10 or 15 years old, and we felt like many listeners never got to share the experience we did,” the duo said as they dove deeper into the mix. “We hope this Dirty Dutch tribute mix shows where our love for this sound comes from and a look into the creative inspiration behind ‘Got Stuff.'”
The mix starts with their latest tune before No Thanks drops into a festival-ready ride twinged with nostalgia. Tunes from the likes of AFROJACK, Chris Lake, Blasterjaxx & Retrick Abigail, Chuckie, Rock Massive, and more who dominated that era of the scene.
Listen to this exclusive mix from No Thanks on SoundCloud, download or stream “Got Stuff” on your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from this duo by following them on social media.
