The Blessed Madonna Announces Debut Album 'Godspeed'

**Due out October 11, The Blessed Madonna’s Debut album Godspeed features 24 tracks and a roster of huge collaborations.**

With a DJ career spanning over 30 years, The Blessed Madonna has spread joy with her sets worldwide. After a slew of singles, she recently announced her highly anticipated and long awaited debut album Godspeed, due out on October 11. The album is a culmination of three-year’s work and will feature an impressive 24 tracks.

The title track, “Godspeed” featuring DJ E-CLYPS is also out now and follows previously released singles “Mercy” ft. Jacob Lusk, “Serotonin Moonbeams” and “Happier” ft. Clementine Douglas. The faraway sounds of a bassline a chatter in a club open to a funky bass and piano melody. Percussive tambourine and claps get the track grooving along. The vocal sample calls godspeed to elements of music and hopes for humanity, almost like a mantra. The cover art for the single features The Blessed Madonna’s husband donning a custom “godspeed” belt buckle.

Godspeed pays homage to The Blessed Madonna’s underground roots and will also feature a roster of impressive collaborators. These include Kylie Minogue, Jamie Principle, A-Trak, and Joy Anonymous. The album will traverse various eras and genres of dance music, but will also blend in elements of soul, gospel, RnB, and more. It will explore The Blessed Madonna’s personal journey as an artist on a deep level.

Godspeed: the word marks the beginning of a journey and sometimes the end of one. After nearly a year in lockdown, when I signed the paperwork and knew that I was going to be allowed to make this album, I called my dad in Kentucky to tell him the good news. He could not contain his pride and in a way his relief. I was going to be ok. He says it better than I do at the beginning of the record. I lost him suddenly just weeks before the first session, but his voice will live in Godspeed forever and make a million more journeys to everyone who hears it.
