The Anjunadeep Explorations imprint will focus on ushering in the next generation of electronic music acts while also showcasing established Anjuna artists.

Since its launch in 2005, Anjunadeep has grown to an immense size, with countless releases that have won over a global fanbase. The label has played host to many artists and continues to curate stunning events. As they begin to approach their 20-year celebration, there is something new for fans to check out: the Anjunadeep Explorations label.

Those familiar with Anjunadeep should already be familiar with Anjunadeep Explorations, as that name has birthed 25 compilations over the past two decades and doubles as the name for their gorgeous event that has solidified itself in Albania. Much akin to the ethos behind the compilation series, which ushered in fresh faces who would eventually find their way to the main label with solo releases and more, this newly minted imprint plans to focus on rising talent and new sounds.

The Explorations EP series has been such an important breeding ground for new Anjunadeep talent over the past eight years. Over 25 EPs it has given us a platform to introduce acts like Ben Böhmer, Marsh, Luttrell and many more who have gone on to become integral members of our label family. With the series now evolving into a dedicated label, I’m excited to keep uncovering new talent and welcoming the future stars of Anjunadeep.

James Grant, Anjunadeep Label Founder

Channeling the notion of showcasing exciting new acts, Anjunadeep Explorations’ first release is a label sampler with an exclusive vinyl run limited to 300 copies. The sampler contains six tracks from some fantastic artists, including LAR and ALLKNIGHT, Mona Vale, Chris Luno, Klur, Marley Carroll, and Omfeel, all of which offer a dynamic range of soundscapes. The vinyl will officially land on July 12, with individual single releases to follow digitally, but you can get a taste with the mini mix they released today.

As for the future of Anjunadeep Explorations, label director Dom Donnelly is giving everyone a glimpse at what’s to come. “Each week we’ll be presenting music from the next generation of Anjunadeep artists, continuing to develop the sound of the label, and throwing in the odd curveball,” he said. “We’ve got some amazing music in the pipeline from almost 20 artists, and can’t wait to start sharing it.”

Give the mini mix a listen on SoundCloud, grab a copy of the vinyl for your collection (if you can), and follow Anjunadeep Explorations for future releases and more updates.
