Sasha Carassi returns to Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint with his latest two-track techno heater, the Memoria EP.
Italian DJ and producer Sasha Carassi is a pillar in the electronic music scene who has repeatedly proven that his influence transcends boundaries. For this artist, the true essence of creative fulfillment lies in the freedom to express his emotions in his productions. Sonically, his music knows no bounds, from ’90s house and breakbeat to the current techno and deep house rhythms, leading him to labels like Harthouse, Bedrock, FLASH, Sleaze, and more.
During this time, Sasha Carassi has been a mainstay on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Records with multiple releases and collaborations since his debut on the imprint, the Hypercombo EP. Now, he’s made his way back to the sister label, Truesoul, with his newest two-track EP, Memoria. “My return to Beyer’s labels marks a full circle moment for me, as I’ve always had a foot in both Techno and House,” he shared. For the fans who have been following him since his early days, this release will offer a nostalgic nod to all the early influences of his music.
The vibrant and rhythmic focus track “Memoria” opens the package with an abundance of infectious energy, channeling a slice of driving funk to the mix. It’s almost impossible to resist moving to the rhythm in this song that delivers a futuristic feel like a raver’s dream. Next up, pure bliss paves the way in “WRHS,” which takes a more percussive direction. The distinct use of iconic drums and distorted vocals set the tone of the track, allowing the music to be defined by the thrill of the gritty analog synthesizers and Sasha’s formative influence in techno and house music.
