Grabbitz makes his debut on Blue Butterfly Records with a bold fusion of rock and electronic sounds in his latest EP, In The Dark.

Known for infusing his work with a distinct edge, Grabbitz‘s evolution has seen him cultivate a rock star stage presence. There is nothing quite like watching the talented artist get his big break courtesy of an endorsement from deadmau5 in 2016 as he continues to carve out a unique lane in the dance music space. Since his last album, Let Them Only See Butterflies, in 2023, Grabbitz has kept the fans craving for his next project by releasing a steady stream of singles and collaborating with artists like Lucille Croft, IMANU, and Subtronics.

Now, Grabbitz drops his first release on his imprint Blue Butterfly Records with the latest three-track EP, In The Dark. This release features a graceful yet masterful blend of bass-heavy electronic sounds with a dynamic mix of pop, rock, and live vocals, shedding light on his raw creativity, versatile taste, and production skills.

‘In The Dark’ marks my first steps into a world of musical freedom. There’s nothing more rock n roll than making whatever the fuck you want.

Grabbitz

Kicking off with the title track, “In The Dark” embodies the spirit of liberation and defiance of conventional norms. Here, listeners glimpse into Grabbitz’s mind, which resembles a cauldron of diverse and unfiltered influences. The gentle electronics gradually pack a punch, alongside feisty rap verses, to add a gritty edge to this unpredictable listening experience.

Then, “Too Far Gone” explodes with powerful electric guitar riffs as Grabbitz’s intense vocals bring an immediate emotional edge right from the start. At the core of this song is a rebellious spirit that marks the true essence of rock and roll. It thrives on a true sense of spontaneity and invites the listeners into a world where anything can happen.

Grabbitz closes the EP with “Daydream,” which offers a 180-turn twist. Blending soothing vocal elements with ambient textures of electronic rock, Grabbitz showcases a laid-back soundscape, creating a calming and introspective warmth. With its ability to bring out the humanity of the acoustic instruments and ethereal qualities of electronic music, be prepared for this heartfelt gem to linger for a long time in your mind.
