Sunwaves Festival Announces Phase 1 Lineup for Mediterranean Debut

Set in Spain, the Sunwaves Festival 33rd edition’s lineup includes Melanie Ribbie, East End Dubs, Archie Hamilton, Ricardo Villalobos, and many more to be announced.

Fresh off the success of its 32nd edition in May, Sunwaves Festival is making a big move from the coast of the Black Sea in Romania to the Mediterranean this year. The festival will take place from September 12-16, 2024, on the stunning Coast of Almería in Spain, specifically in Roquetas de Mar on Las Salinas Beach. The three stages will all face the sea, promising a beautiful backdrop for an unforgettable festival experience.

Keeping true to the festival’s roots with minimal production, phase 1 of the lineup includes heavy hitters like Melanie Ribbe, East End Dubs, Archie Hamilton, Ricardo Villalobos, and wAFF. Romanian favorites Sepp, Raresh, Rhadoo, Mahony, and Arapu will also grace the stages.

Additionally, the lineup features Alexis Cabrera, Cezar, Cuartero, Gawdat, Gescu, Kozo, Maks, Marco Faraone, Melchior Productions Ltd, Mihigh, Nu Zau, Petre Inspirescu, Praslea, Priku, Rolbac, Seko, SIT, and Yaya. It’s uncertain exactly how each stage will look, but one can imagine a tent-like experience for one stage with the other two stages featuring a more mainstream lineup. Taking place across two yearly editions, Sunwaves is something extremely special.

While this isn’t the first time Sunwaves has ventured outside of Romania, the Spanish debut promises to be just as memorable. The initial lineup announcement already features an incredibly strong roster of artists.
