This fall, LP Giobbi will release her second album, Dotr, before embarking on a tour that will take her to Toronto, Los Angeles, Denver, Seattle, and more.
LP Giobbi is more than just a DJ and producer. Not only is she one of the minds behind FEMME HOUSE and the label head for Yes Yes Yes, but she’s also the global music director for W Hotels and an advocate for women and LGBTQIA+ members of the scene. It’s been impossible to ignore her rise in the scene, whether through her dynamic sets at festivals like Electric Forest or releases that have ignited dancefloors.
Last year, LP Giobbi dropped her debut album, Light Places, and received plenty of praise from tastemakers and fans alike. Now, she’s looking to add even more tunes to her discography with her sophomore album, Dotr, due out on October 18 via Counter Records/Ninja Tune. This personal album from LP Giobbi draws inspiration from her roots, and its title harkens back to when she was a child and would misspell daughter in notes to her parents.
Dotr will feature 17 tracks, including features with artists such as Mascolo, Panama, Reva DeVito, Danielle Ponder, and more. The first tastes of the album’s soundscapes include “Feel” with Jacob Banks and the newly released single with Portugal. the Man, “Bittersweet,” which landed today alongside the full announcement.
After Dotr drops this fall, LP Giobbi will also kick off her Way Back Home Tour on October 25 in Durham, North Carolina. From there, she’ll head to cities including Washington DC, Phoenix, Austin, San Diego, Oakland, Denver, Seattle, Chicago, Brooklyn, and more.
