in Album Review

ONHELL adds another collection of irresistible tracks to his discography with his latest release, the Sandía EP, out now on 1985 Music.

ONHELL is the epitome of authenticity. His unique energy is noted by all who have had the chance to catch one of his sets. In addition to his memorable stage presence, he also throws and self-promotes events that each always go down more epically than the last. To put it obviously, ONHELL is a man of many talents.

Working in an ever-evolving scene can be tricky, but artists like ONHELL, who possess an immense passion and love for their craft and the scene, make it look easy. His efforts and have landed him on the radars of tastemakers like Deadbeats, DUPLOC, and Deep, Dark, and Dangerous. Today, he adds one more tastemaker imprint to his roster as he releases his latest effort, the Sandía EP, on 1985 Music.

You can always expect some broody and otherworldly sounds on 1985 Music, and he delivered just such a musical profile. The Sandía EP mainly focuses on deep dubstep, but in true ONHELL fashion, there’s also a spicy hint of trap for the listeners to enjoy.

The title track slinks in with immediate dark and low-end bass. Chills will run up and down your spine as each drop adds more uncertainty about what could be next. Trap comes alive with Chunky leading the masses in “More Money, More Time.” Lock in and pay attention to the truth expressed in his words as ONHELL’s slower-paced percussion accompanies them perfectly.

A new crowd favorite is born, and its title is “Lotadão.” The textures ONHELL and Visages created for this track should have a warning label because the stunning strobe effect they seem to create through sound alone could cause seizures. Let the ceremony commence as the faint light from a “Black Candle” flickers to each low warbled frequency present. Proceed with caution, for there’s no telling what creatures of the night you might summon.

Enjoy the Sandía EP on your favorite platform, and follow ONHELL on his socials below to see where he will be next!
