UK artist salute is releasing TRUE MAGIC on July 12 before touching down in the US and Canada in October.
Austria-born, UK-based DJ and producer salute has been on an absolute tear lately. It only makes sense for them to punctuate such a momentous period by dropping a new album — and they’ve just shared that following the July 12 release of TRUE MAGIC, they will embark on North American tour dates in support of the effort in October.
First on the agenda is an October 4 appearance at Summit in Denver. After performing at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC the following night, they will take a few days off before three consecutive dates at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, and Village Studios in Vancouver.
On the other end of two more Canadian tour stops at Axis in Toronto and Theatre Fairmount in Montreal, salute will return stateside. The final two dates of their North American tour will take place at Brooklyn Steel in New York City and III Points Festival in Miami on October 18 and 19, respectively.
Felix Angyumanu Nyajo, known professionally as salute, first became interested in electronic music while still living in their hometown of Vienna. Having produced music since childhood, their career started gaining momentum after they relocated to the UK, first to Brighton, and then to Manchester.
Their early releases include EPs like Lionheart (2013) and Gold Rush (2015) as well as a mini-album called My Heart (2016). Then, after the pandemic, their career caught fire like never before on the back of hit singles like “Jennifer” and “Want U There.”
Presale for salute’s tour supporting TRUE MAGIC starts later today, June 19, with general on-sale following at 10am on Friday, June 21. Find more information on salute’s Linktree.
