DJs like Haute Mess and Ding Dong give dance music some representation on the Joshua Tree Music Festival 2024 lineup.
After two decades of activity, it’s safe to say Joshua Tree Music Festival has a formula that works. The biannual music festival has shared the phase one lineup for its fall 2024 event slated for October 10-13, capturing a cross section of the talent that revelers can expect from the gathering at Joshua Tree Lake Campground.
Any electronic music fans in attendance will get to enjoy the festival’s Boogaloo Lounge. So far, Bay Area DJs Haute Mess and Ding Dong as well as Los Angeles artists Leisan and Stoley have been announced for the dance-focused room.
That’s only a small fraction of the talent announced in the phase one lineup, however. Seattle funk fusion band Polyrhythmics, Kyiv world music quartet DakhaBrakha, and Chicago brass ensemble LowDown Brass Band are standouts of the Joshua Tree Music Festival lineup. Other highlights include The Rubber Snake Charmers, Siren & Seer, the Stephen Lewis Big Fun Duo, Honeywild, and House of Hamsa.
Nearly as notable are wellness activities like qigong, yoga, and breath work at the Positive Vibration Station; various talks at the Sanctuary; drag shows and intersectional initiatives at the Queer Salon; and even arts and crafts as well as puppet shows at Kidsville.
Joshua Tree Music Festival has also long taken a stand by not offering a VIP experience in the interest of treating all attendees as equal participants. All tickets include walk-in tent camping, and vehicles are only allowed in the campgrounds with a separate vehicle pass.
Tickets are on sale now and the current tier runs $235 for a four-day pass. Purchase yours and find additional information on the Joshua Tree Music Festival website.
