Deathpact Releases Debut Album ‘FROM DARKNESS’

The latest transmission from Deathpact has been broadcast, this time in the form of a 14-track debut album called FROM DARKNESS.

Deathpact continues to be one of the biggest mysteries in the scene. From being seen as a solo artist to transforming into four, and possibly even more, they’ve made an indelible mark on the bass music community, filling hungry souls with plenty of midtempo soundscapes and more. While other releases have won over fans in recent years, this one saw Deathpact announce an even larger project, their debut album, FROM DARKNESS.

“HOLD ON” and “NEMESIS” were the first tunes that Deathpact revealed on FROM DARKNESS. Both captivated their fervent followers who craved more music from the mysterious artist. Today, 12 new tunes were revealed to further satiate their cravings and whisk them away to the surreal world filled with eerie soundscapes and more.

“CROSSROADS” builds rapidly after its brief vocal intro, taking listeners and placing them in the middle of a busy cityscape filled with sirens, vocal chatter, breaking glass, and more. The eerieness continues as notes begin to play on “BACK TO THE SHADOWS,” hypnotizing the mind as sultry vocals creep their way in before the second half of the track dominates with plenty of bass.

From that point on you’ll find yourself on quite a ride as dubstep-laden tracks like “DUST TO DUST,” “DEATH WISH,” and “MARAUDER” pack a punch in contrast to other tunes such as “FATE,” “SONG 4,” and “MOONLIGHT IN THE MAZE” that offer deeper growls. It’s clear this album was created with a story in mind, especially with breaks like “LIFE IS A DREAM” and “R136A1,” so make sure to listen to this from start to finish.
