VIP at EDC Las Vegas might be pricey, but Insomniac has gone above and beyond to make the experience well worth the cost.
I’ve spent well over a decade of my life attending and covering festivals, big and small, from coast to coast. Year after year, EDC Las Vegas has remained at the top for me. I attended early editions from 2012-2014 in GA, but in 2015, decided to take a leap of faith and start checking out what VIP had to offer – and there hasn’t since been a second that I’ve regretted it. In fact, I’m here to tell you that if there is one US festival that you spring for VIP passes to, it should be EDCLV.

Unlike other VIP experiences at the country’s top festivals – where the band is more of a status symbol with an exclusive viewing area and restrooms – each year at EDC Las Vegas has brought something fresh and exciting. The next closest for me would be Good Life at Electric Forest, but recent trips to Sin City have changed my mind entirely. Sure, the price is a bit steep, but Insomniac has done the most to enhance the experience instead of phoning it in.
If you opt for VIP, you can forget about waiting to get into the festival.
Expedited entry is a blessing for anyone who is always running late, like me. Each entry line has moved quickly and painlessly over the past few years. But the fast entry is only the first part of the puzzle because once you’re inside the festival grounds, VIP unlocks even more to explore.
Of course, the core of the EDC Las Vegas VIP experience is the exclusive areas — and as of this year, there are six to choose from. Each of these areas will put you closer to the stage and will often give you the most room to dance, something that can be difficult to come by during otherwise packed sets. Additionally, the VIP areas offer dedicated bars, giving you quick access to drinks. This year, kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, and bassPOD all had lockers available as an added bonus, on top of air-conditioned bathrooms.
Where the experience really shines at EDC Las Vegas is at kineticFIELD and circuitGROUNDS.
These two massive spaces have hosted everything from exclusive pop-ups and food options to ball pits and even a pool. Last weekend was no different. kineticFIELD boasted a multi-level deck, VOLTA beauty bar for anyone who needed a touch-up, a kandi-making station, and Beats & Breakfast every morning. Meanwhile, circuitGROUNDS offered plenty of food options, photo ops, and the best close-up view of the fireworks you can get.
There always seemed to be somewhere to sit and chill inside the VIP areas this year, so for those of you who want to take a load off – this is a great option for you. The VIP concierge is also a blessing at festivals. Aside from being the place to grab your free lanyard and laminate, they’re stocked with essential items like chapstick, sunscreen, mints, candy, and some fun trinkets like light up toys too.
If you want an elevated experience and can splurge a bit on your pass, VIP is definitely worth every penny.
VIP is a breath of fresh air for those who have attended many festivals and want to add something new to the mix. It’s also for anyone who wants enough room to dance while being closer to the stage — or, in my case, if you get anxious in massive crowds and need some added space. As long as you and your entire group have VIP passes, you’ll be golden.
While this year was great, 2025 will be even better.
I felt that the only real negative experience I had was was trying to get into or out of circuitGROUNDS. Everything else was pretty much a dream and I don’t think I’d want to experience EDC Las Vegas any other way.
While the specific areas and surprise amenities for VIP are still under wraps for the 2025 edition, Insomniac has already added to what’s in store with a $75 merch credit ($25 per day) for those who buy VIP or GA+. Also, Beats & Breakfast and the VIP Ferris Wheel will be back, giving you a bird’s eye view of the festival – make sure you do that if you head to EDCLV next year because you won’t regret it.
