I Am Legion – Farrda (Visages Remix)
This is more than a game- it’s a new Visages remix. Last week, the French quartet added their signature flair to the grime track “Farrda” by Noisia and Foreign Beggars under their I Am Legion alias from 2013. Visages are no strangers to working with vocalists to make their heavy-hitting basslines go even further, so this decade-old beat was too fitting for a remix from the talented group.
ENiGMA Dubz – We Can Go (Mystic State Remix)
Bristol-based duo Mystic State is known for blending dubstep and smooth bassline garage in their sets and production. The pair took to ENiGMA Dubz‘ imprint, Morii Records, to put their sultry UK Garage spin on his track “We Can Go.” Encapsulating a vibe perfect for a long night drive, bass music enthusiasts and house-heads alike can find their groove within this low-end two-stepper.
KTrek – Ahri
Elusive producer KTrek is known for his efforts in wave and trap music. Last week he made his debut on vibe.digital, one of the scene’s most influential wave music imprints with the release of his latest dreamy single, “Ahri.” In this tune, KTrek captures everything there is to love about the genre, from its emotion-heavy aura to its intricately layered sound design.
VEIL – Mentalics
Taking a break from her home label, Street Ritual, VEIL took to Bassrush Records last week for her latest two-track release, and it’s a must-listen for bass music fans. She came out swinging with two new 140 dubstep heaters via the respected imprint, and we can’t get enough of the title track, “MENTALICS.” Its catchy deep basslines will undoubtedly make it an immediate crowd-pleaser and a mix-friendly gem in VEIL’S live sets.
Metrik & Reja Lee – Freefall (Justin Hawkes Remix)
The Bass IDchart is rarely complete without a melodic drum and bass feature, and this week is a new remix from Justin Hawkes via Viper Recordings. With Metrik and Reija Lee on the original, decade-plus-old beat, Justin Hawkes breathed fresh air into the vocal-charged tune for a fun and uplifting summer DNB staple.
