Project GLOW is gearing up for another out-of-this-world weekend of electronic music in the nation’s capital. Hosted at RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, DC, the Insomniac and Club Glow hosted festival is entering its third year and is primed to deliver a star-studded lineup to East Coast music lovers on April 27-28.
While this year’s lineup includes festival favorites Rezz, Illenium, Knock2, Zedd, and Big Booty Mix creators Two Friends, with artists spread across three stages, there are bound to be many new acts to discover. Six Can’t-Miss Artists at Project GLOW 2024
Blossom || Saturday, Eternal Stage
Captivating crowds with her high-energy bass house tracks, Blossom is no stranger to the Project GLOW mainstage. Having played the festival during its inaugural year in 2022, the fluorescent-pink-haired DJ is back for another explosive appearance on the Eternal Stage. Blossom’s undeniable stage presence has landed her appearances at some of North America’s largest festivals including Shambhala and EDC Las Vegas.
Boasting music releases on AC Slater’s Night Bass Records and UKF, her unique sound design sets her apart from the pack as she continues establishing herself as a rising artist.
Night Tales || Saturday, Pulse Stage
Hailing from Australia, Night Tales combines dreamy synths with bewitching live vocals to create a mesmerizing performance unlike any other. Set out to break barriers in the white-male-dominated genre, Kamaliza and Aaron Bannie blur the lines of electronic and urban music.
Night Tales is already enjoying a successful 2024. The duo were recently nominated for Breakthrough Artist of The Year at the EDMAs last month. With upcoming festival performances at Elements and Breakaway Minneapolis, Night Tales’ performance at Project GLOW is a must-see for fans of alternative electronic music.
Derrick Carter || Saturday, Secret Garden
As one of Chicago’s house music legends, Derrick Carter’s storied career has spanned nearly four decades. Getting his start spinning disco records, by 16 years old, he’d already made a name for himself in the club scene. His first release, “Love Me Right,” debuted in 1987, positioning him to be a key part of the explosion of house music in Chicago.
Taking inspiration from the ’70s, Carter’s sets transport listeners back in time with his old-school sound. Join him at Secret Garden on Saturday for an intimate performance and see one of house music’s still-active legends.
TELYKAST || Sunday, Eternal Stage
Defined as a project that’s creating “music that makes you feel,” Los Angeles-based duo TELYKAST delivers chart-topping dance music for the masses. The pair, comprised of Trevor Klaiman and Kyle Tanoli, are known for their electronic pop tunes and remixes.
With noteworthy collaborators including Nicky Romero and Morgan Page, and with their latest single “Without Your Love” featuring Deorro, TELYKAST is sure to deliver a set packed with feel-good tracks, making for one big dance party.
HUGEL || Sunday, Pulse Stage
French producer HUGEL is ready to bring the heat to Washington DC with his seductive Latin house tracks. He first struck gold with his hit song “Morenita” with Cumbiafrica in 2021 and has released hip-stirring house singles since. HUGEL has seen great success, having gone on to secure residencies at UshuaÏa in Ibiza and grace the stages of Tomorrowland in Belgium and Parookaville in Germany.
Recently going viral for his remix of LATIN MAFIA’s hit song “Patadas de Ahogado,” HUGEL’s performance at GLOW is primed to be an infectious dance party you don’t want to miss.
LF SYSTEM || Sunday, Pulse Stage & Secret Garden
Making two appearances at Project GLOW, LF SYSTEM will appear on both the Pulse Stage and the intimate Secret Garden stage. The Scottish duo, best known for their 2022 hit “Afraid to Feel,” specialize in disco-inspired house groovers with undeniable energy. From humble beginnings, LF SYSTEM have quickly risen to popularity and received support from influential artists like Armin van Buuren and Oliver Heldens.
With the producer duo recently teasing lots of new music, their set at Secret Garden gives them the perfect opportunity to play out many of their unreleased tracks for a receptive crowd. For fans of a flashier show, their Pulse performance will include fan favorites and top-notch lighting and visuals.
