Take a Trip ‘Into The Dark’ with JEANIE

GRL GANG founder JEANIE drops off her first fully independent EP, Into The Dark, filled with four dubstep tunes that hit hard.

JEANIE has left an undeniable mark on the electronic music scene since taking her first steps as a DJ and producer years ago. Since then, she’s delivered some of the heaviest tunes in the dubstep realm on labels like Bassrush, Circus Records, and Space Yacht, taken the stage at festivals near and far, and launched GRL GANG to uplift more women in the scene. Now, JEANIE is stepping out once again with her first self-released EP for fans to feast their ears on, Into The Dark.

Earlier this year, JEANIE teased that the release of Into The Dark was imminent with the announcement of her debut headline tour and the release of the EP’s lead single, “Kiss of Death” with DOIL and TINYKVT. That aforementioned single gave listeners a taste of what would come on the full release: dark, eerie soundscapes and plenty of bass that will rattle you at your core.

Now that the EP has been fully released, listeners can dive deeper into the depths of JEANIE’s twisted mind. “Demise” powers forward before a devilish voice says, “I am death,” before the drop pushes you toward the gates of hell. Once there, you’ll find yourself facing a twist of techno before being washed away in a delusional state. “Maximum Fear” enters the fray next as JEANIE teams up with NEAVE$ to create a mind-warping soundscape filled with explosive energy, all of which sets the tone for the final hauntingly beautiful leg of this four-track ride, “Soulless.”
