Sam Foxx Drops a ‘Nuke’ on Space Yacht

Los Angeles-based artist Sam Foxx delivers three drum and bass-fueled tracks on the Nuke EP that will melt your mind.

Drum and bass has taken over more of the scene with each passing year, and there’s a new wave of artists looking to shake things up even more. One who has begun to stand out from the pack is Sam Foxx. This Los Angeles-based producer has delivered heat on labels like Play Me Records, YANA Music, and Human Imprint over the past few years as he’s climbed the ranks of the scene. More recently, he’s dug his teeth deeper into Space Yacht with tracks that are filled with energy.

Last summer, Sam Foxx left his first impression on Space Yacht’s faithful followers with his track “The Get Down,” which saw him team up with Wraith and MC Dino. Featured on Critical Mass Vol. 2, this tune acted as a taste of what would be coming from the rising artist in the future. Now, he’s making an early splash in 2024 with the Nuke EP.

The three tracks found on the Nuke EP can be seen as chapters of a story that unfolds with more power as the seconds tick away. “The Experiment” begins this journey into nuclear development with an eerie, cinematic intro leading to a vibey, energetic drop that shows off Sam Foxx’s innate production abilities. Once “The Experiment” has been successfully conducted, it’s time to set off the “Nuke.” Sirens open this track up, and if you want an explosive drop with as much power as the Fat Man bomb, this one has you covered… countdown and all.

The unfortunate truth of nuclear warfare is the destruction that comes with the bombs that are dropped, and the final track explores just that. “Extinction” features a take on the lines said by Sarah Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day about the war against the machines, which is fitting for the story that’s unfolded. This frantic, fast-paced beat makes you feel like you’re running from certain doom, with all the twists and turns along the way.

Get blasted away by the Nuke EP on Spotify or your preferred platform, and follow Sam Foxx on social media to stay in the know on his future releases.
