Four Tet Drops Off New Single, “Loved”

in New Releases

Looking for a refreshing soundscape to help get you in a groove this year? Four Tet has you covered with the first single off his forthcoming album.

Four Tet has long been lauded as one of the biggest innovators in the electronic music scene, and just like a fine wine, he seems to get better with each passing year. His immersive live music experiences have been sought after by dance music lovers from all walks of life, but even those who haven’t been able to catch him play have fallen in love with the sounds on albums like Parallel, New Energy, Sixteen Oceans, Dialogue, and more.

Last year was one of the biggest for Four Tet to date as he was thrust into the forefront of the scene alongside Skrillex and Fred again.. for a number of memorable performances and releases. Their track “Baby again..” dominated speakers near and far, while their takeovers in New York City and surprise performance at Coachella left a lasting impression on the scene. Throughout this run, Four Tet never stopped crafting more beats. In fact, he dropped the news that an album would arrive early in 2024.

Today, the first taste of what’s to come on this forthcoming album has arrived in the form of Four Tet’s latest single, “Loved.” This downtempo electronica track acts as the opening for the rest of the collection and offers a refreshing soundscape for listeners to bask in. The chilled breakbeat kicks in from the jump before Four Tet layers in soothing piano notes that will sweep you off your feet and place you in a dreamlike state.

Take four minutes out of your day and listen to “Loved” on Spotify, grab a copy on Bandcamp, and stay tuned for more from Four Tet by following him on social media.

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
