Shdws Spins a Mix That Will Leave You Spellbound

Shdws is celebrating the launch of his new imprint, Spellbound, with a fall mix that will hypnotize your soul and get your body moving.

While tech house might be currently reigning supreme in the scene’s landscape, the sounds of bass house have been absolutely booming, with established artists and rising stars showing off the best the genre has to offer. Shdws is an artist who has been championing this style and helping push the boundaries of its sound. He’s found a home on labels including Night Bass, House Call, Divided Souls, and Do Not Duplicate in recent years, and now he’s opening the doors to the next chapter of his career with the launch of his own label, Spellbound.

Shdws new imprint bears the same name as his massive 2022 EP that landed on Night Bass, and he’s already off to the races with a debut single to land on it, “Close to Me.” The track begins with a sense of eerieness that will have your mind at full alert before the sultry vocal creeps in from the background. The party really starts after the first drop with its hypnotic blend of bass house grooves that you can’t help but move your body to. And if this is the first taste of what’s to come on Spellbound, the future is bright for this new label.

I have wanted to start my own label since I began releasing music over a decade ago – to have full creative control and more flexibility with my release schedule, means complete freedom with my music. I am beyond excited to present Spellbound to the world. Thanks to everyone who has been on this journey with me so far.
