The Martinez Brothers and Cuttin’ Headz revisit Salomé Le Chat’s February EP, Time To Move, with peak-time remixes from Classmatic and DJ Minx.

Ibiza’s 2023 season has concluded. Although it’s time to depart our favorite dancefloors across the Balearic island, Cuttin’ Headz is keeping the music going. Directed by The Martinez Brothers, the label is revisiting its iconic February release, Salomé Le Chat’s EP Time To Move, with featured remixes from Classmatic and DJ Minx.

To say the Cuttin’ Headz crew kept busy in 2023 would be putting it lightly. Balancing their weekly residency in Ibiza with playing global festivals like the upcoming III Points, collaborating with supreme artists like Eliza Rose and Tommy Genesis, and managing their imprint, The Martinez Brothers have been going nonstop. Similarly, Classmatic has been pushing rising talent on his newly launched imprint, Organic Pieces, and DJ Minx has consistently released major tunes with the likes of Higher Ground and Factory 93.

Blending deep, synthesized atmospheres with Salomé Le Chat’s original vocals, Classmatic’s remix of “Time To Move” stirs listeners into a frenzy. Kicking the beat into high gear with knocking drums and a thick, resonant bassline, this record is peak time at its finest. Classmatic’s understanding of balance and patience is on full display as the soundscape transitions between aggressive drops and airy breakdowns. His remix of “Time To Move” is a banger to say the least.

Following suit is DJ Minx’s ravey, mind-melting remix of “Parc Des Princes.” Whipping up an auditory whirlpool, she tastefully spins and chops Salomé’s vocals, establishing in mere seconds that listeners will be taken on an extraordinary adventure. Constructed with the finest, rave-based building blocks, this tune drives the dancefloor with ripping bass and a flurry of iconic, 909-style drums. DJ Minx pushes the boundaries to a feral capacity.

Back to back, these tunes evoke mental imagery of an unwavering dance floor at the end of Ibiza season. It may be time to leave, but party-goers are staying until the lights come on. Truly, it is never over.

Think you have what it takes to be the last one on the dancefloor? Listen to Time To Move Remixed on Spotify or your preferred streaming platform and let us know what you think on Twitter (formerly X).
