LP Giobbi Announces New Label, Yes Yes Yes

Teaming up with Defected Records, LP Giobbi will inaugurate Yes Yes Yes with “Time Expands” next week!

Seamlessly blending styles across the dancefloor, LP Giobbi, a co-founder of FEMME HOUSE, has defined a style unlike any other. With her electric piano in tow, LP provides experimentation and improvisation live, creating one-of-one sonic experiences. Her prowess on the keys cultivated a distinct reputation amongst DJs, enabling legendary collaborations and remixes with the likes of Sofi Tukker, Kx5, DJ Tennis, and more. Amassing co-signs and topping off an already stacked resume, LP Giobbi enters the next era of her career as the label boss of Yes Yes Yes, a new imprint part of the Defected Records family.

Serving as a flagship of LP Giobbi’s musical spirit, Yes Yes Yes will benefit from the Defected Records infrastructure while she curates sounds and supports the artists in whom she believes.“This label is not beholden to one genre or one particular sound,” she says. I grew up going to this hippie festival in Oregon called the Oregon Country Fair. My parents started going in their 20s and I have never missed it since the womb. It’s my favorite place on earth because it leans into weirdness, joy, and mind-opening experiences. The first thing you see when you walk on site is a sign that just says, ‘Yes Yes Yes’ and it makes me smile ear to ear every single year.

On September 29, fans and listeners can experience the manifestation of LP’s ethos with the label’s first release, “Time Expands,” an original from the label boss herself. Distorting reality, “Time Expands” is a groover featuring original spoken-word vocals, lush pads building tension, and psychedelic guitars sending your brain spinning.

Alongside the launch is the announcement of five Yes Yes Yes afterparties in support of her Light Places album tour. Featured stops include Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Chicago.
